Octavia negative ground questions
(Preview)
Why does the negative ground version of the octavia call for an extra 1M ohm resistor and a 100k Volume pot rather than 500k? Are they mistakes or not? Please fill me in. Thanks.

Tycobrahe Octavia
(Preview)
Hi,
I'have made the tycobrahe octavia clone from generalguitargadget.com, with two 2n5088 and one 2n5087, I think it's like your negative ground version...
there is a lot of difference to use 2n5088 instead of 2n4401. and if I use other germanium diodes than the 1N34a (I have some...

PCB Dilemna
(Preview)
I REALLY want to build the "Mindbender" but ( I know how lame this is) my girl won't let me etch the PCB in our small apartment...(and I'm not ready to dump her yet). Is there anyone out there who would do this for me? I'd be glad to pay, or trade in goodies....
Thanks,

Fulltone 70's
(Preview)
Hi all,
I'm new here and have a question :) I'm going to build an axis fuzz (sort of), with bc108 or 109c transistors. Now I was wondering how the Axis compares to the Fulltone 70's pedal. Does anyone have a schematic for the 70's, or know where it can be found?
Thanks for your replies!

Boss ds-1 mods
(Preview)
Hi, I have an old beat up Boss DS-1 (japanese model). I'm new to modding pedals, and I was wondering if there is a simple mod to just boost the output volume....currently it barely matches the volume of the guitar when it's off. Also, is there a simple mod to reduce the gain a little bit?
thanks

Vox Tonebender
(Preview)
Hi everybody,
I have been looking at the Vox tonebender build here on fuzzcentral, and have a few questions to anyone who has built one or knows these things. (these might be really silly to some)
The trim pot, where does the third connector go? earth or nowhere?
On other sites they say to connect...

Shin-ei fuzz circuit project
(Preview)
Hello out there...I have recently run across an old Shin-ei/Companion fuzz wah. The fuzz is awesome, and I have done some playing through it, mainly with my jazz bass. It has a very cool sound. However, the wah is not so good (to me). I am curious about removing...

The Rocket vs. The Enterprise
(Preview)
I built a clone of The Rocket (see aron's page). It is a FF-like pedal that uses high gain Si, 2N5088 hFE=450, with an interesting input buffer that increases the gain and let the use of humbuckers and wah pedals before it. Also it behaves nicely when you roll back the guitar volume.
As stated in the sch...

newbie help with Axis Wah
(Preview)
I just finished my first project. I built the Axis Wah..unfortunately it sounds like a weak volume pedal when engaged. The signal is normal when bypassing the wah circuit. I step on the pedal and a huge volume drop and no "wah"..only a weak volume pedal. I used the GGG wah board .Any suggestions? What di...

Probably a stupid question
(Preview)
Im a little confused about this PNP NPN stuff. If you use a Battery with a pedal that uses positive grounding, you can use the effect in series with other negative ground pedals right? Is it that they just cant share a common power supply? Ive also seen that alot of the positive ground pedals dont have DC j...

Over the top fuzz?
(Preview)
I'm looking for an over the top fuzz- something with 4 or 5 knobs for maximum tweakability. Not a BMP type of fuzz, but something GE based. A combination of GE and SI would be cool.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Buffer box?
(Preview)
Eazy now,
Instead of adding an output buffer to the inside of my v847, is it possible that I can just make a seperate effects box with an input jack-> output buffer circuit -> output jack?
That would work much better for me, as my v847 is already modded in a few ways not by me, and I can't seem to unders...
