Im a little confused about this PNP NPN stuff. If you use a Battery with a pedal that uses positive grounding, you can use the effect in series with other negative ground pedals right? Is it that they just cant share a common power supply? Ive also seen that alot of the positive ground pedals dont have DC jacks built into the schematics. Im sure it has something to do with the whole Positive Negative ground thing, but If i wanted to put a DC jack into a positive ground pedal so i didnt have to keep buying batteries, couldnt I just switch the leads so then it could work with a common power supply? Or am I stuck having to always buy batteries for the pedal? Sorry for all the questions, but any help would be awesome.
Thanks alot! The BSIABII sounds awesome, I run it through my Marshall 1987X 50 watt reissue and it sounds like a good Guns N' Roses type distortion. I pretty much built the pedal so that I could turn down the amp without sacrificing tone. And I must say it sounds just like my Marshall when its cranked. They said it sounds like a cranked Marshall stack...they definately weren't joking around.
