Please help the village idiot

Hello,

http://hometown.aol.co.uk/qgadgets007/germanium_pnp_fuzzface.htm

Im gonna make one of these but it seems to me that there is no footswitch on the schematic. Does this mean its always on until i unplug the guitar? If this is the case, then how do i go about putting a footswitch in?

Thanks

Hello Dr Jock,

Not at all. What you would do here.... is just grab a true bypass circuit from another pedal.

You could grab a stompbox switch and wire it right....then it would have the switch you need to turn it on and off. You could either use a DPDT ....... or one of the 3PDT switches and have an LED on/off indicator.

------

Just another explanation here: look around at some other circuits and find one with a true bypass switch. One of the wires on the switch will go to the input of the board....and one will go to the output. Just imagine snipping their board out....and soldering yours in ...in it's place.

Bob
