I'm thinking of completely re-doing my pedalboard setup. New George-L's and all the bells and whistles. Right now, I'm running essentially 3 cables out of my board: signal to my amplifier, signal to channel switch, and DC power in. This time, I want to add a second channel for acoustic use but I'll need an extra 12-volt supply coming in for my acoustic processor. So, rather than have 5 differing cables dangling off the left side of my board, I was looking at these:
I'd love to wire-up a SINGLE cable comprising my two guitar signals, signal for channel switching, AND the two power signals. It would make my stage runs cleaner, power easier to get, and, most of all, way faster setup time! Now for two questions to your electronics gurus:
1) Would the aforementioned connectors be suitable for audio applications? I know that I could do multiple XLR plugs but that gets pricey!
2) Would I have any problem w/signal degradaion/contamination by running my power lines parallel to my signal lines?
Guess that's it. When I do it, I'll be sure to post some pics! Thanks in advance.
