I saw Muse night before last and, as my chin was on the stage, I could see that their guitarist/singer/pianoist, Matt Bellamy, had highly customizable guitars made by Manson.  It looked like he had some wild fuzz circuitry in all of them as well as a touch-sensitive strip (like on keyboards) on another.  Anyway, cool stuff.  So, I researched it and found this:

Go look around and drool!  I'm a bit bummed 'cause I actually thought of doing something like trying to put a Z-vex wah probe in a guitar...looks like someone beat me to it!

now, thats why i wanted to put a phase 90 clone and a fuzz face clone into a guitar, (because i couldn't find schem's for a fuzz factory)

Those are some awesome guitars...  Just started listening to Muse and I think it's some of the best stuff put out recently.  Thx for the link!

  Hard Hitting material. I like 'em.


  Great concept band, though it might seem the concept chose them...Great Stuff all the same, I particularly like the arrangements and lyric lucidity and conviction.


  Yes, the Guitar did seem to be working right too IMHO.

  It's a particularly interesting point for field of study, how to implement guitar activated effect tech.


  Probably because it would if 'completed' be very useful and fun to figure out applications for, widening the tonal palette for the musician.


  Something like a gain cutter on the guitar [the one video had what sounded like a temporary on/off for gain for below/above feedback effect] booster would do a trick here or there...setting in motion string harmonics with a short, timed boost enable...


  Some of the other stuff I saw and heard appeared to be of a more technical nature [digital controls etc.] fairly elaborate switching schemes.


  It seemed easier for the player to focus 'right brain' activities by having the controls 'handy' right there on the guitar...stepping on a box is a cool looking move, but the slickness of onboard controlling [despite the technology involved] is an alluring combination of devices...


  Starting with a TV remote surfboard...
