New name for Axis Face "Bias" Control

Does anyone have any suggestions for a new name for the Axis Face "Bias" control?  Since that pot doesn't control the biasing of the circuit in any way, I thought that it was time to give it a name that's more appropriate.

The "Bias" control is a pot that's wired as a series resistor on the input of the circuit before the input capacitor.  It alters the character of the fuzz from full-on Fuzz Face fuzz (although it sounds better than the Fuzz Face) to a smoother overdrive-type sound as the resistance increases when it's turned up.  I was thinking either "Smooth" or "Gain" for the control.  Not sure if "Gain" would fit quite right, but it does decrease the signal being delivered to the input of the circuit from the guitar by adding more resistance in series between the pickups and the input capacitor of the circuit.

Any other ideas?

Phillip

FLAVOR?  GRAIN?  OOMPH?  OK, that last one's a bit ridiculous!

Hi Phillip,

What about "Pre Gain", "Pre Fuzz" or something like that. But I also like the idea "smooth".

Thanks for the suggestions!  I think I'm going to rename it "Smooth" since it does have the effect of smoothing out the aggressiveness of the fuzz.
