I have a question and wonder if you might take a minute to tell me what you think....
I am about to build one of these and this just popped into my head. On the Axis Face R3...... do you think most people actually mess with the smoothness pot much or is it more of a ......set it the way you like it and then forget that it exists control ?
I am just thinking that.....if the smotthness pot just gets dialed in to please the player.....then gets left alone.... I might put a trimmer in to do that... so that I avoid the temptation for myself...and for OTHERS...to just twist on it because it is there.....
I really like to adjust the Smooth pot on the Axis Face. It's quite useful to nail a lot of different fuzz tones, especially if you like to mess with different settings on the Attack control.
the ability to modify the smooth is one of the greatest plus of the circuit.
it's great also when you change guitar: when i use the stratocaster my neck pickup is about 6.5k and when i use the telecaster in the middle position with the pickups in serie and not in parallel it's about 15k. i usually modify only the smooth pot leaving unchanged attack and volume.
