Amplifier Mods

Hey.

I have a 5150 head that I've found some stuff online concerning modifying it.  I'm really considering having this done and was wondering if anyone else has had their amps modded or has modded their own amps.

Specifically, I'm looking into Voodoo Amp mods as well as the FJA mods.  From what I see, the Voodoo Amps (www.voodooamps.com) site really tries to customize the sound to each individual's tastes.  Their work (and website) seems impeccibly professional and reputable.

The FJA mod (http://members.aol.com/fjamods/FJAMods2.html) seems nearly as reputable (they get high scores on harmony central just like the voodoo mods do) and FJA seems to do more mods (IE: add an extra channel and tone shift).  However, I get the feeling that these are "cookie cutter" mods and aren't tailored to the individual.

Just seeing what y'all thought!  By the way, great forum and great site!

I live in Portland and there's a guy around here who runs www.eurotubes.com.  He's great, very willing to talk you through what you're looking for and he does really great work.  I used to own a 5150, and those are his specialty.  Check it out.
